PEDL is Warner/Chappell Music’s Pan European Digital Licensing initiative that offers digital and mobile service providers the opportunity of licensing Warner/Chappell Anglo US copyrights on a pan European basis from a single point in Europe, should they want to. We want to make the process of digital licensing an easy, streamline and hassle free experience.
There are currently three European Copyright Societies who have the non-exclusive right to license Warner/Chappell’s Anglo US copyrights on a pan European basis and more will join PEDL in the future. DSP/MSP’s can choose which society they want to work with in order to complete negotiations. To date anyone wishing to license on this basis can choose to do so through the MCPS in the UK, STIM in Sweden & SACEM in France. All of these Societies have a hotline to our staff here in London so that the digital licensing process can be carried out without delay.
