To login to the webpage you need to be a registered user of Warner Chappell Music. By registering, you will have access to an expanded set of features that allow you to better explore the range and depth of our world famous catalog.

To select a song and apply for a license, please follow the steps below:
Step 1.	Click on the LOGIN link on the top right corner of the homepage.
Step 2.	To Register, click on the New User link.
Step 3.	The Registration screen will display. Enter the User Name, Password and other required details on the screen.
Step 4.	Check the radio button if you need optional access to e-Deco, PEDL or WCM Writer.
Step 5.	Click on the Next button. The terms and condition screen will display.
Step 6.	Click on the I ACCEPT button to proceed with the registration. A confirmation screen will display and an auto generated email will be sent to the email address confirming the registration.
Step 7.	Click on the LOGIN link on the top right corner of the homepage.
Step 8.	The login section will display. Enter the username and password in the corresponding fields and click on the LOGIN button.

If you do not remember your password or need to change your password, follow the steps below:

Step 1.	Click on the login link on the top right corner of the homepage.
Step 2.	The login section will display. Click on the Forgot your password link.
Step 3.	The FORGOT PASWORD screen will display.
Step 4.	Enter your username in the Username field and click on the SEND PASSWORD button.
Step 5.	If you do not remember your user name, enter the e-mail id in the E-mail ID field and click on the SEND INFORMATION button.

You can view the websites of our affiliate offices. This will give you more information on the latest news, artists, songs and new releases from our other offices worldwide.

To view the websites of our affiliates, just mouse over the Country Name on top of the webpage and click on the country name from the list. The corresponding country website will display.

This search engine enables you to search through the vast catalogue of songs, to find just the right song to match your requirements. By default it will search through Song Title. You can select a different Search By option and just enter the keywords for search.

Step 1.	Click on the dropdown list to select a Search By option. By default, it will search for Song Title. You can select from the following search by options: Song Title: Enter the Title for the song. Song Writer: Enter the writer name. Publisher: Enter the publisher name. Artist: Enter the name of the artist. Lyrics: Enter the Lyrics keyword. Label: Enter the label name. Movie/TV Title: Enter the name of the movie or the title of the episode on TV.
Step 2.	Enter the Keyword for the search.
Step 3.	Click on the SEARCH button. The Search results screen will display a list of matches as shown below: On the Search Results screen you can view the Song Title, the writers associated with the song and the number of masters associated with the song. If the list is long, use the Filter option provided on top.
Step 4.	Click on the Song Title to view the split information. Here you can view the control percentage and the society to which the song is associated. You can further apply for licensing by clicking on the corresponding license link provided on the top of the screen. Please refer to the Chapter “APPLYING FOR LICENSE REQUESTS” for more information on how to apply for a license.

Advanced Search allows you to narrow your focus even further. Use the filters in this search to execute a more accurate search. The search screen gives you the following options to choose from the dropdown making your search faster and more specific.

• Country: Select the country to which the song is associated with.
• Search By: The Search By options are the same as in Quick Search explained in the previous chapter. Enter the keyword to search in the Keyword field.
• Decade/Year: Select the decade and the corresponding year in that decade the song was released.
• Chart: Select the type of chart.
• Genre: Select a genre from the various options in the dropdown. This is will make your search results more refined to songs corresponding to a specific genre.
• Subject: Select the type of subject the song should be associated with.
• Tempo: Select the tempo.
• Vocal Mix: Select the option from the various options available for vocal mix.
• Language: Select the language the song should be in.

• SEARCH
  Once done with updating the search criteria, click on the SEARCH button to initiate the search.


• RESET
  The RESET button helps you to clear your choices and start over. 

When you Search or Browse the Warner/Chappell on-line database for titles and writers, you will be accessing information about the best, most popular and most significant songs and writers in our catalog. If there is something specific that you are hoping to find and if you are unable to find it when you search, it is possible that the particular song or composition you want is unavailable via an on-line search at this time. Another reason could be that you have used a search criterion that is too narrow to obtain the exact match you had hoped to find. Try the following suggestions, keeping this age-old wisdom in mind: If at first you don't succeed...try altering the search criteria.

• When using keyword(s), try to use only the most unique ones. In the world of popular songs, the word "love" is very common. If you enter the word "love" as a keyword whether in the title or in the body of the lyrics, you will get a list of songs that may be too comprehensive to be of practical use in your search for the right one.
• While we encourage you to use the various search options to identify a particular song, we would advise you NOT to combine too many search options if you are uncertain of the exact title and writer of a particular song. If you are uncertain of the title and writer, and you begin entering strict search criteria, you will probably not find any matches when the search is completed.

• Songwriter -- Madonna -- combined with Decade -- 1980s -- and Chart -- Pop. Searching by these three criteria will provide you with a list of songs written by Madonna which appeared on the Pop charts in the 1980s. However, if you enter Decade -- 1920s -- with the other two Madonna search criteria, you will not find anything written by Madonna thirty eigth years before she was born. It's logical. Nor will you find songs that did not appear in a Film, Play or Television series if you select the "Movie//TV Title" option.
• While you explore the possibilities of the site and get the hang of using it, there's no reason not to use the drop-down menus under each search category. Decade, Genre, Year and especially Subject, have been designed to provide you with a range of choices that might prove to be entertaining and enlightening, even as you work the site to find exactly the right music for your project. You can also try Browsing. It's free, and it may inspire you with ideas you hadn't considered when you first began your search.

You'll notice that the drop-down menu under Source lists several countries. This is an innovative feature that offers you an opportunity to do a search that is truly global in scope and, in keeping with our primary goal, enables you to do business on a level that is unprecedented in the online music publishing universe. Via a reliable portal to Warner/Chappell's affiliated offices, you have access to the most successful writers and most popular songs from Germany, Holland, Italy, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. As more of our affiliates make their catalogs available, you will discover a genuine, international resource of voices and sounds that you may tap as easily as you can our American offerings in order to enhance your choices and create a rich cultural mix of influences that will add distinction and authenticity to any project you envision.

Projects are folders that help to keep your song selections organized into logical groups. When you select a song from Warner/Chappell's Online Library you can then save that selection to a project folder. Each project you create can be named and organized anyway that suites your personal or business needs.

There are no limits to how many songs you can save to a project just as there are no limits to how many project folders you can create per account. To access My Projects, click on My Projects option from the LICENSING dropdown list as shown below:

Projects can be organized by individual jobs such as folders for several commercials. Larger jobs such as full-length motion pictures can always be broken down into separate project folders where each folder represents the selections for an individual scene.

Projects can be created or deleted at any time. Songs can be added to your project from our Online Music Library. Just select a song, fill out a license request, and then choose the folder you want your song to be placed in. You can add or delete songs from any project as needed.

After entering the "My Projects" area for the first time, you will find two folders which have already been created for you. On the left pane the Default Project folder and License Request folder will display.

The License Request folder contains past online transactions you have or will make through Warner/Chappell. The Default Project Folder is simply there so you can immediately start adding songs to a project. Just like any other folder you can delete songs, rename project or delete the Default Project folder.

Please follow the steps below to create a new project:
Step 1.	Click on the Add New Project link located at the top.
Step 2.	The ADD NEW PROJECT window will display. Enter a name for the project and a brief description of the project in the corresponding fields.
Step 3.	Click on OK.
Step 4.	Once you have created the new folder, it will be available in the folder dropdown list when applying for a license. You cannot add songs to the project on this screen. You can only remove songs on this screen.

In order to use our music in motion pictures, television programs, commercials, etc., you'll have to obtain a license for each type of use. One of the main reasons for creating our E-licensing/B2B website is to enable you to find exactly the right type of music you need for your project and to make the licensing process as easy for you as possible. Using the Search function helps you find the song you want. A License Request link is available on the SONG SEARCH DETAILS screen.

To select a song and apply for a license, please follow the steps below:
Step 1.	Search for the song. Please refer to the Chapter QUICK SEARCH and ADVANCED SEARCH for the various options to search for the right song you are looking for.
Step 2.	The song search results page will display with the list of matches. Click on the Song Title to view the masters associated with the song.
Step 3.	Select the song and click on the License Request link.
Step 4.	On the License Request screen, select the Media Type. Click on the dropdown for Media Type and select the appropriate type from the list.
Step 5.	Click on the GO button.
Step 6.	You can select an existing project from the Select a Project drop down list. If you need to create a new project, click on the ADD NEW PROJECT button. This will put the song into the Project Folder for faster access to checkout. Please refer to the Chapter MY PROJECTS for more information on creating a project folder and managing the folder.
Step 7.	On this screen, you will need to answer a set of questions that will be different according to the Media Type you had selected. There are four major terms when applying for a license: In what type of Media will the song be used? (Media Type) In the case of an ad campaign, for example, how long will the song be used in the campaign?(Term) How will the song be used in the context of the project? (Nature of Use) Where will the project be released and/or distributed? (Territory)
Step 8.	After you have answered the questions, click on the SAVE TO PROJECT button.
Step 9.	A confirmation window will display. You will be taken to the MY FOLDERS screen. The song will be added to your selected folder. Here you have the option to view the status, rename the project or remove a song from the project.
